How it all started

In 2021, H&S Unlimited was founded by Justan Happell. Justan has over two decades of experience in the drilling industry. The mission of H&S is to provide our clients with efficient and high-quality work. We are committed to delivering exceptional results and ensuring that our customers are satisfied with our services.

Justan, a proud native of North Idaho, is deeply committed to his community. He generously sponsors the fair and rodeo, donates to senior grad night, supports local 4-H, and sponsors speedway racers. Justan has an unwavering commitment to giving back.

Justan is a family man, married to his loving wife Stacy, and devoted to his five children. He is committed to his faith and values his employees.

"Happell and Sons are legends! I had a 725ft directional bore with 150ft of vertical rise, crossing underneath a railroad, Idaho Route 2, and a County roadway. I called three other boring contractors and each of them said it was too challenging for them. Not only did Justan, Adam, and their team complete the project, but they gave me a fixed price before they did it. Although they encountered rock, broke a boring head, and then broke a shackle connected to the 3" steel casing on the pull back, leaving 110 LG of steel casing unusable, Justan never gave up. He said he'd get the job done, and he got it done. My project was tough on every level. We had constant inspection by the railroad with two different inspectors, rock to drill through, traffic control with ITD, steel casing to take 18ft below the railroad then bend up a hill 75ft above the railroad and a super tight job site. I'm so proud of what Happell and Sons did for me that I wear their hat everywhere I go. I recommend them to anyone who wants to be sure their project gets done right, on time, and on budget. A true pleasure to work with!
